Hey yall!!! Kelsey here! To give everyone a little insight to who I am and what this blog is going to be geared towards, I’m going to tell you a little background about myself. The past few months have been packed with life changing events. I graduated from nursing school in December and passed my boards two days ago! I accepted my first job on the cardiac floor as a Registered Nurse! I turned 24 in January, and ran a half marathon last Sunday. Life has been busy to say the least! The past 2 years of my life have been filled with non-stop nursing school and working to make ends meet at the same time. I have been so BLESSED to have the most amazing support group of friends and family along the way. It’s now that time where I am transitioning into life “on my own”, and it is so exciting, yet so scary! Lots of unknowns and learning things by trial and error. This past year was the hardest year of my life for many reasons. I dealt with the grief of loved ones passing, the fear of failure, a broken heart, and I truly questioned God’s faithfulness for the first time in my life. It was a bittersweet year to say the least. This blog is my attempt to prove to anyone that no matter where you’re at in life. No matter how bad your bank account stinks. No matter how much you weigh. No matter what physical illness you have. No matter where you are at in your faith. No matter how bad of a writer you are (das me!). And no matter what obstacles may be in front of you….with a little faith, a lot of love, and someone who’s willing to come along side of you and say ” I’ve been there”, you can conquer anything. God writes our stories. I’m just thankful you’re here to read a part of mine.
I have a history of chronic disorganization, procrastination, impulsivity, student loan debt, and an unhealthy addiction to the “Country Dollar”, “TJ MAX”, and coffee shops. I am starting my journey to treat these problems, and not the symptoms. On the lighter side, along the way I want to share with you my love for activity, running, music, cooking, nature, health, and family! Please stay tuned to watch my life and learn! Every day is a lesson, and a new one. I am Kelsey. I am a officially a Cardiac Registered nurse, wanting to make a difference. Your heart is mine 🙂
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” James 1:2-3
