The Holidays are RIGHT around the corner! Like, as in…THANKSGIVING THIS WEEK!!! Ahhhhh! So to all of my nurses working this as your major holiday this year, I love you and am SO thankful to have you at the bedside with these patients! This job is truly a calling, and not for the faint and weak hearted! I know that extra holiday pay will be super nice for all of those Black Friday purchases!!! I know that I’ve got my list of goods that I want to get for others this year. I actually LOVE enduring Black Friday, and I’m totally that girl that gets up at 5 am, heads out to dodge the madness,and home by 12pm. Yup, That’s me! But here’s the BIG question this year? What will you be getting for YOURSELF???
As nurses, we deserve to be selfish once in a while! We spend most of our days and nights taking care of others! We need to take some time to give ourselves some TLC! I decided to compile some of my FAVORITE items that I use as both as a Floor and Wellness Nurse! I wanted to share with you guys as well!

1. MDF MD ONE Rose Gold Stethoscope
I am #obsessed with this stethoscope! It is so beautiful and has amazing sound! I’ve seen that they just came out with a cardiology version which is TOTALLY on my list this year! I get so many compliments on this stethoscope, and obviously looks aren’t important when it comes to nursing instruments….BUT the beauty of this stethoscope is that it is a TRIPLE THREAT! It sounds, looks, and feels amazing! It comes in black and white tubing! Total winner!
Alright, yall know I am a total Healing Handbassador! It’s pretty much all that I wear! These scrubs are STUPID comfortable, and literally come out smooth and beautiful after being washed! They don’t shrink and they don’t fade! The colors and patterns are beautiful! I have about 20 pairs, no lie! They make me feel so confident and beautiful at work, and I get compliments all of the time. THEY HAVE AN AWESOME TALL PANT for all of you 5’5” and above peeps! Some of the best scrubs you will ever invest in and amazing quality for the price! The Jane Top and Taylor Pant are my favorites!
Everyone needs a good workbag, right? Again, compliments all week long! These outdoorsy bags are so cute and so practical for nursing. The sling back feature is my fav! The size is deceiving! You can actually fit a ton in here! I can fit my stethoscope, lunch, wallet, phone, and more! Such a cute gift for anyone at Christmas as well, nurse or not!
4. Zensah Compression Stockings!
Okay, these are super cute and super comfy! I never was really into the whole compression socks thing…..until I wore them! Total comfort and support throughout my day! These are a great brand and great quality! I have the Ditsy Flower pattern! Great for yourself or someone else in a profession where they are on their feet all day long! GREAT “stocking” stuffer! (hahaha get it 😉 )
OKAY! These are a total win, especially in the winter! They are light weight, but so cute with scrubs as undergarments! The cute sheer patterns just look awesome with your scrubs, but they also keep you warm! I wear these all year long, as they are light weight and I like to have my arms covered! I never feel too hot or too cold when I have one on! Grey’s Anatomy has a great brand and patterns!
6. Danksos
I totally remember not feeling cool because I didn’t own those “Nursey Shoes!” aka DANKSOS! LOL. I totally thought the clog was so ugly….until I fell for it! And now I wont go back! These are my favorite ones! I also enjoy Nursemates Brand Sneakers as well, NIKE Freeze, Alegrias, and Sketchers. Comfortable shoes make a WORLD of difference. I have worn all of these and have enjoyed them all. Danksos took a few months to get used to, but I’m glad I held out because it has made a world of difference for my back!
7. Water Bottle
LOVE a good water bottle! Hydration is so important for nurses! I am sipping all day long, as I am on my feet ALL day long! Swell and Nalgene are my two favorite bottles! They make a world of difference! Nalgene’s tend to hold more, but Swell is insulated and can hold hot beverage as well! Both come in really awesome shapes and sizes! These make a great gift for others too! Intentional, unique, and something you wouldn’t buy for yourself!
8. A GOOD Coffee Cup!
The Good Nursing Lords know that we can’t survive without coffee! I am SUCH a fan of having a good travel mug! Some of my favorite brands are: Hydroflask, Yahey, Bodom French Press To Go (LOVE THIS!), and The French Press itself is amazing! These all make awesome gifts, as it’s rare for someone to buy themselves a more expensive and fancy coffee cup. However, if you got one as a gift, you would LOVE it! Check these brands out! They are totally worth the investment!
9. A Nice Work Jacket
My favorite every-day jacket brands are Northface and Colombia. They are always great quality, amazing comfort, and super cozy! I have that one jacket that I keep in the car for work every day and that’s my Northface! It makes all of the difference and has lasted me 5 years already!
Ummm….the ONLY case I will use! I am queen “Crack My Phone” every year! I have had the same Speck case for 2 years now! I am totally ordering a new sparkly one because lets be real, it most DEF has MRSA by now 😉 And it’s just that time! I highly recommend these cell phone covers for anyone in the works for a new one! They are light weight and durable. Great colors and price!
This is one of my FAVORITE items in my house that I own! My sister bought it for me last year and I use it EVERY night! I remember thinking people were crazy for using these oils and “diffusing” whatever that meant. Man was I wrong! These are so awesome, therapeutic, and aromatic! It’s like being in an Aveda Salon 24/7! Some of my favorite oils are Eden’s Garden! These just really help you relax and calm your soul, no lie! Any R&R for nurses is necessary! These would make an amazing gift for any loved one this year! This combined with one or two oils to start is awesome! It’s so intentional and such a fun and unique surprise to anyone receiving!
12. Vitamix
Okay guys, this is DEFINITELY on the more expensive side, but this blender will CHANGE YOUR LIFE! It has been said to have a motor comparable to that of a boat’s! I Believe it! It is definitely an investment, but it has a 5 years factory warranty (some have 10) and they have amazing customer service if something needs to be replaced! I literally blend anything and everything in here! My coffee, my smoothies, soups, salsa, and the list goes on! It is literally the BEST! I could not drink Green Smoothies with any other blender! This is where it’s at! Like a said, big purchase and investment, but everyone I know who owns one would agree that it’s worth it! You can make quick smoothies to go and it allows a nutritious meal in your hand in minutes! Power smoothies for a life of heath and wellness!
My favorite workout leggings for barre and everyday workout! Love the length and feel!
My FAVORITE brand of watches are SKAGEN! It’s a brand of Fossil and it is so chic and beautiful! They are marked by their flat head and leather bands! I have a rose gold and grey one that I get compliments on all day long! It’s such a cute, fashionable, and in expensive brand! I absolutely love it!
