I got asked the question the other day, “What made you want to quit nursing?”
It kinda took me back because in all honesty, I’ve never wanted to quit nursing. As a matter of fact, that’s all I’ve ever wanted to do. It opened up a conversation about what Healthcare is today (or lack there of). I explained to her that I don’t get to care for people in the way that truly makes a difference in my eyes. Don’t get me wrong. I’ve had some really rich and amazing life giving moments as a bedside nurse. I thrived in that position….but I saw my job as a sacrifice. The no eating lunch. The taking on of too many patients. Assuming the role of a charge nurse with only a year of experience. The staying late after a shift to chart and catch up. I was always thanked for being a team player. THAT was all relayed to me as being a “team player”…..What I realized shortly was that was a fancy and nice way to cover up abuse Nurse and patient abuse.
I convinced myself that I was a selfless and sacrificial person to take on more than I could handle. What i discovered is that it left me burned out, exhausted, and extremely bitter. When I joined the float pool, I learned a lot about productivity and how hospitals run. Although I enjoyed the diversity of that position brought, it did more damage to my heart in discovering how much of Healthcare was so much about money and turnover.
It TRULY seemed less about the patients and ESPECIALLY the nurses. I couldn’t be a part of that. I was doing health-coaching on the side, and realized how much of an impact changing someone’s lifestyle can make. LONG LASTING CHANGES……not just treating the symptoms with a pill. I discovered the beauty of essential oils and how much comfort they can bring emotionally to people. So much of our health conditions relate back to emotions: stress on the brain, heart, gut, and so much more. Why are we not taking a more holistic approach to care? Why do we just pass a pill and sign consents for sometimes unnecessary procedures every day? Why you ask? Money. That’s it. The root of all evil.
It is my mission to be a nurse who helps people change their lives for good. No more convincing people a pill or surgery cures them. Today, I’m working from my home office (aka the river coffee shop I live at). I’m thankful & grateful to be the nurse I’ve always wanted to be, sharing a natural lifestyle and information that allows people to take control of their OWN personal health.
Hey everyone!
Have you wanted to learn more about essential oils?
Or maybe you know a lot about them and have been considering the business?
Are you interested in pursuing a job sharing natural and safe solutions?
Have you wanted a vessel to share your natural way of life and be compensated generously in the process?
How would working from home within a year feel making DOUBLE your current income???
But really guys. I’m IN LOVE and beyond thankful with what’s going on in my life!!!! And I want to share this opportunity with you as well…..even if starts with just simply bringing oils home to use……no business, just essential oil comfort and benefit.
On Saturday Nov 18th at 10:3am, i am going to be teaching all about Essential Oils and Wellness! I will be sharing how I started my own business as a natural minded nurse and was able to pursue my dreams, helping people in a way that truly gives me life and this opportunity will be presented to you too….
As a Nurse, all I have ever wanted to do was simply care. I wanted to create and build a culture amongst others, WORKING TOGETHER for the good of people and their wellbeing. I got so tired of submitting to the way things were being done in Healthcare. I witnessed the lack of support amongst nurses and a lack of TRUE and safe care for the patients. My heart and body was stressed EVERY SINGLE DAY. Like run out the door, get to my car, sometimes cry, and say to myself, “there is something more in this for me…..”
I’ve always dreamed of creating a business of my own. Creating a culture of love and support. Allowing others to truly thrive in a way that they feel appreciated, loved and well….compensated appropriately.
Sharing essential oils with others and using my health and wellness knowledge as a nurse has allowed me to create something beyond what I ever imagined.
I’m watching nurses and natural minded friends build their own wellness businesses, and grow in their knowledge through sharing natural solutions, and my hope is that their businesses will continue to grow and they will have the freedom to work from home and help others in the process while STILL being nurses who TEACH, LOVE, and Care!!!
NO, I don’t practice essential oils as a nurse. I share them as Kelsey Rowell….with a background knowledge that led me to this route. I don’t claim to fix, cure, or diagnose anything. I simply share with others how I have used oils in my life, and come alongside them to support them with resources and basic teachings. I LOVE WHAT I DO! And I’m thankful every day for the dear friend who introduced essential oils into my life!
Leanring to decrease the toxic load in our lives and replacing everyday products with safe and effective natural DIY’s is incredibly life changing! You feel empowered and that you are TRULY taking a hold of your health! Supporting my emotions naturally is my favorite way to share oils! SO much goodness!
