Do you ever find yourself visiting a new city and wanting to find the best and healthiest restaurants to eat at while you’re there? I don’t know about you, but I’m googling and yelping the heck out of everything! I’m always looking for a good healthy find when I leave Atlanta! As I begin to prepare for my company’s leadership conference being held RIGHT HERE in the beautiful city of Atlanta, I immediately got excited to share with my team about all of the AMAZING healthy Atlanta restaurants! Sure, there’s lots of really yummy food options all over Atlanta, but for the health conscious folks like me, I wanted to create a blog post for those who LOVE yummy and flavorful food, but want to make sure they are nourishing & hydrating their bodies at the same time while they enjoy this beautiful city!
Flower Child is one of my FAVORITE new healthy Atlanta restaurants!
“We’re on a simple, soul-satisfying mission to spread positively delicious vibes and healthy food in Atlanta. Whether you’re craving a taste of our bowls, grains, greens and wraps or looking to refresh with our flavored lemonades, kombucha or organic wine and beer, we’re here to take you to a happy place. We make every last bite on the Flower Child menu from scratch, using farm-fresh ingredients from close to home. That’s our promise to you, whether you’re vegan, paleo, gluten-free or just hungry.”
My favorite dishes here are the Tomato Toast and the Brussel and Squash Salad with Grilled Chicken. SO much goodness in this funky and fresh place! They have locations in Sandy Springs and Buckhead.
True Food Kitchen is pretty amazing! I’ve been there more times than I can count on hand! I do recommend making a reservation on open table as they are pretty busy majority of the time! I’ve replicated a lot of meals at home from TFK!
“Healthy” isn’t just an idea. “Healthy” is science, and we take it seriously. Every delicious dish and drink at True Food Kitchen is crafted to be better for your taste buds and your body.”
This place has the CLEANEST ingredients and freshest produce you will find in any restaurant. It’s pretty much a one stop healthy shop. Literally every item on their menu is a healthy option! Also, if you register your email on their site, you’ll get a $10 off coupon $20 or more! I HIGHLY recommend the Roasted Brussel Sprouts, Seasonal Ingredient Salad (pictured above) with a protein of choice, Cashew Pad Thai (pictured above), and the Butternut Squash Pizza with caramelized onion, roasted garlic, kale, ricotta, dried cranberry, and sage!! Okay, be right back. I gotta go wipe the drool from my mouth! They are located here!
The name says it all! This restaurant isn’t “healthy” per say, as they sell some homestyle favorites that are traditional feel goods, but this is a local Atlanta establishment that is by far in the Top 3 for my favorite local restaurants in Atlanta! The service is BEYOND superb and the food is heavenly! What I love about OKAY is that their ingredients are all real. Real butter, cream, and meats (sad we have to label meat as real, but it’s true). You can get some really delicious and fresh veggies, too! My favorite meal to get her is the salmon with sweet potato and broccoli! They also have a really delicious veggie burger and sweet potato fries!
I have to throw a sushi joint into the mix. Listen, this isn’t just any sushi place. I am a sushi junkee who is very critical of my sushi! I love the right size, right flavor pairings, and right texture/flavor of fish. We found this place in the city of Marietta where we used to live. When we walked in and saw how busy it was, we knew we must have found something good. Yall, this place is AMAZING!
The sushi is DELICIOUS! The roll selection is unlike any other restaurant I’ve been to. Ingredients are always fresh and flavor pairing is so tasteful! My husband and I will typically order one roll each and it’s A LOT! You will be full on one specialty roll! My favorite is the “Sea Breeze” which is spicy tuna with mango and avocado. I get the eel sauce on the side. It’s not typically on the menu so be prepared to request! They have a location in Atlanta with great reviews!
Cafe Sunflower is a place I’ve only visited once, but for Vegan food, this is the best around! With locations in Buckhead and Sandy Springs, it’s one of the best Vegan healthy Atlanta restaurants (Buckhead will be closet to Atlanta)!
“You deserve more than salad and sides. Your favorite restaurant should have satisfying dishes for you and your family and friends. Cafe Sunflower is just the place. We’ve been pioneers of delectable vegan cuisine in Atlanta for over 20 years! Our award-winning kitchen has taken the time to master the art of plant-based cooking. So whether you’ve made a lifelong commitment to veganism, or you’re just going meatless for one meal, we’ve got you covered.”- Cafe Sunflower
Alright y’all, I’m going to get real with you. I’m a coffee person. If there’s 4 things in life that I REALLY love, it’s Jesus, my husband, my family, and COFFEE!!! I don’t know, it just does something to my soul. I have been to MANY coffee shops in Atlanta, but for the sake of Atlanta visitors coming to the city, I’m going to highlight a few of my downtown favorites!
Octane is a really fun and trendy place with great coffee! Cool vibe and location, and a great place to hang with your friends/team!
I love the vibe here! Southern hospitality and caffeinated comfort! You will receive the best quality coffee around! If you are one of those “I’d rather not do Starbucks” people cause you’re a bit of a coffee snob like me, this is the place to go! You have to try their cardamom infused Turkish coffee!
Views. That’s all I have to say. This shop is all about the river view and their expresso happens to be amazing too! A little further from the city, but worth the visit! Just be mindful that it’s inside of a residential neighborhood and closed to the public on the weekends so be sure to hit it up Monday through Friday on your visit!
This locally owned community cafe houses fresh salads, sandwiches, CLEAN ingredients and AMAZING coffee! THIS is your brunch spot when you’re in town! Check out their “Souper Farm” initiative which does SO many amazing things for our local Atlanta community when it comes to educating about Whole Foods! Such an amazing mission AND restaurant! Check them out!
“Our farm is an educational, urban garden and learning center. The goal is to use the produce from our farm for ‘The Zadie Project’ and our restaurants. We also offer free classes to the surrounding food desert communities. We will also use this garden for low cost Learn-Help-Harvest educational programs to teach families the value of eating whole foods and the life of sustainable living. Let’s not forget we can also now pull fresh produce for Souper Jenny locations as well….talk about organic!”
These are some of my FAVORITE healthy Atlanta restaurants for ya with a little caffeine added! I hope that you enjoy your stay in this amazing city! Please let me know if you have any questions about specific healthier eats around town! I’m happy to help!
